I’ve got to admit that before this trip I had an interesting love/hate relationship with the French Riviera due to my job, but after seeing Nice I finally understood why so many want to go. I get it now, and I surrender to its beauty.
Lovely weather, beach, shops, an international airport, French food influenced by Italian (so close to the border!) and small town feeling are some of the reasons why I would like to come back.

I didn’t have a lot of time in Nice but I tried to walk around as much as possible. It was HOT so after a while I just wanted AC and something to drink.
This cat was a Latino or Italian nonna in its past life, spying on the neighbours from the balcony as favorite hobby.
The next day we went to Fragonard in Eze before transferring to Pisa. If you are allergic to perfumes or don’t like strong smells this is definitely not your place, but if you are looking to learn more about how perfumes are made (free guide in various languages) or buy a local souvenir this is a great stop.
Next stop: Pisa and Florence!
